Plot:
In the Torn (released in 1982, directed by Steven Lisberger), Kevin Flynn(JEFF BRIDGES) is a hacker, he is literally abducted into the world of a computer and forced to participate in gladiatorial games where his only chance of escape is with the help of a heroic security program. Now, in this sequel, Sam Flynn (GARRETT HEDLUND), the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn, looks into his father's disappearance and finds him pulled into the same world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 25 years. Along with Kevin's loyal confidant (OLIVIA WILDE), father and son embark on a life-and-death journey across a visually-stunning cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous.I think few hours later, audiences can enjoy this gorgeous virtual world in theater. Beside, director Steven Lisberger claimed that he had just spent 6 weeks on the restoration of 1982 old version, and this restored version will also be with Blu-ray launch to all the fans.
